Full Time Floral Designer

The Floral Designer is responsible for working with floral designs to create arrangements that build long term customer relationships and repeat business. This position is critical to Dr. Delphinium; the Floral Designer, is the heart of creativity and impacts the business by providing a world-class service experience that impacts the profitability of the company.

• Provides an exceptional customer experience that inspires repeat business.
• Creates floral designs incorporating an innovative use of colors, floral and accent materials, and vessels, while meeting established criteria for Dr Delphinium Designs and Events and cost of good sold
• Maintains confidential customer information
• Monitors orders and confirms details on a constant basis to ensure customer selection is processed correctly
• Ensures 100% compliance with all company policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Maintains neat and clean appearance at all times
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
• Self-starter who is energetic and flexible
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations
• Prioritizes responsibilities to achieve results
• Forms strong working relationships within a team
• Identifies additional tasks to be completed and willingly assists others
• Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel
• Nonsmoker
• Minimum two years of custom floral design (fresh flowers) experience in a high volume floral shop or design studio required

Timing:

• 8 hour shifts (5 shifts per week)
• Saturday and Sunday rotation amongst team
